Let’s talk Shellac

I don't know the book nor the finishing expert, but it can be difficult to write convincingly if you don't know a subject first hand. Write and ask him why.

The same author goes into the subject at length in his more advanced "Understanding Wood Finishing". Apparently he regards shellac as too advanced for a "101" book.

That's good to know, Patrick. It did seem odd that someone who knows enough to write a book would've left out shellac. Cheers
