    Grizzly 20" planer G0454Z still on back-order.

I ordered it last June when it was on sale and I am still waiting for it.
I got a email from Grizzly in October telling me it will be in at December.
    Still no planer.
I send other email in January, now it should be in at March.
Does any of you guys ordered one too and still waiting?
I really need it now, I sold mine last year in March.
I like Laguna 20" anybody have one?

    Thank you.

You're far more patient than I. What was Grizzly's original quoted lead time?

I started with absolutely nothing. Now, thanks to years of hard work, careful planning, and perseverance, I find I still have most of it left.

That sucks. I've wanted to order a couple of things from Grizzly over the past few months and they have all been on backorder. I hope they get is straightened out soon.

The grizzly owner posted in another thread about factory closing in China mucking things up.

It's not just Grizzly. I ordered a lathe the week of Thanksgiving last year with the same story from Rikon. Was supposed to be shipped by the first of December, now they say sometime in February. Kinda sucks.

I was at the Grizzly store in Springfield MO for the first time a week ago and was shocked how many of the tools on display that had an out of stock signs on them.

I ordered one in October or so, was told there are two shipments - January and February, I would be on the first one.

In in late December I went to the store in Bellingham for some other purchase and asked, this time it was March 2nd (arriving to the United States) and then a few weeks after that to get to my house.

At at this point I’m not expecting to see anything until April. I also wouldn’t be surprised to see a big price jump considering they said there are over 200 orders of this specific unit to be delivered.

Dang - I might just go out and give mine a hug today. I've put that thing through the ringer the last couple of months.

This is one reason I normally buy used equipment. You see it, you run it and if you like it you buy it. You know exactly what you are getting, unless it has some hidden problems, there's no waiting for it, and you pay a lot less than for a new machine.

There often is more than one way to solve a problem, especially since you need a machine now.

I've been looking for used one for more than a year. I like used machines they already set up and you don't have to put anything together.

In 2014 that planer on back order so I bought the no helical version and spent few hours putting in the helical head. At time I ended up saving some money through sale going on.
