I finished up and installed this chest for my wife's bathroom closet. The "drawers" swing out to interfere less with the hanging clothes.

Very nice! Great idea, and some good looking execution to go with it!
BTW, the integrated handles are really a nice touch...and strong from all appearances.

Brilliant! That's a fantastic way to store a lot of items in a small space.
Very nicely done Yonak!

So much to learn, so little time.....
I don't get how the pivoting drawers interfere less than normal ones, but they sure are cool, as are the design elements. Very nicely done, Yonak.

Creative design and well executed sir. Nicely done.
I really like your design!
Is the trim piece on the drawer faces covering screws?

So explain your hinge or pivot?
Very nicely done. The swing out is a neat idea. Interested in how you did it.

Making sawdust regularly, occasionally a project is completed.
Thanks, everyone, for your kind words.
Yes. The end panels of the drawers are on an angle so I couldn't cut dovetails for the joints and I couldn't figure out how to easily cut an angled dado so I used screws and covered them with trim.
There is a hinge at the back corner. The attachment area is rather thin and I couldn't find individual hinges that narrow, but I did find a narrow continuous hinge at McMaster-Carr which I cut into sections for each drawer. The hinges are pretty robust and I used 2" screws so I believe the drawers will support a good bit of weight without sagging.
Thanks for sharing and answering questions.
