I'm wondering what a good cost is for a nice one. Not new but nice with several sand paper strips of each grit.

Rule of thumb is 50% less of new. There are circumstances that may warrant a higher price such as condition, accessories, etc. A new Jet 16-32 can be found for under $1000 if you are patient and wait for the sales that come a few times a year. Also take into consideration the lack of a warranty on a used machine when looking for a fair price. That being said, without looking at the machine, I would start at the $500 range. That's just my opinion, others may say differently.
I paid $350 for mine. I did not get any sandpaper though but it was in excellent condition. It was an older one without the "Smart Sand" feature. I had little use and was in excellent condition. The only thing wrong was the stick on depth strip is damaged. It is also the version sold by Performax before Jet acquired Performance and re-branded the machine under the Jet nameplate.
