I have "about" decided to buy the Fugi Mini Mite 3 sprayer. Any advice appreciated, but the first question I need help with, is which gun, gravity or bottom feed? I am a serious hobbist and would mostly spray clear finishes, probably water based.

Gravity of course.

I agree - gravity. Lots less problems.
If you have an air compressor and want to save some money, look into HVLP conversion guns.
