    Walnut trestle table

I have been a member for a few years here, but mainly as an observer. Thought I would share my latest project.

That is beautiful as are the other furnishings in the background. The table looks very sturdy and the lines are well balanced. Would you provide some of the dimensions?

    Thanks for sharing.
Rustic? Well, no. That was not my intention!

Really beautiful and it very much fits into the environment you show it. Bravo!

Great work. Also curious about the finish and are the pegged tenons in the base removable or permanently installed?

Thanks. I also built the buffet and the china cabinet that are in the background. The dimensions are as follows:

    Top is 42 x 80 x ~1.75"
    Overall height is 30"
Legs are 3" thick, 8" wide at the widest portion
Feet and cleats are 3 5/8" thick
Feet are 3 1/2" inches tall
    Cleats are 3" inches tall

Thanks. I finished by sanding to 180 grit, and then applied Arm-R-Seal satin. The top and bottom have 3 coats applied with a foam brush. The remaining surfaces have 5 wipe on coats.

Thanks. The stretchers are removable. The wedges of the tusk tenons are just tapped in/out.

Very nice table. Love the design.
