Old table, new photo > Walnut Oval glass top coffee table

I made this table quite a few years ago for my mother and recently gave it a good cleaning up and another coat of Watco Danish Oil.

Perfect opportunity to photograph it with new (to me) technology

    Thank you Matt !

The joint is basically what became commonly known as the Sam Maloof leg joint.

Instead of gluing it I used a screw from the top so the joint can't slide out. Then I turned rosewood plugs to hide the screw.

The plan was it would be easier to ship in a flat crate.

The wood oval is simply cut out of laminated boards and secured with a spline at the leg junctions.

Very nice Don! Really stands out from the typical glass top tables...I’ve definitely saved the photo for future reference.
