I noticed on my last few posts when I used qoutes or aposterphe etc. an number/symbol code showed up when I read my post. Is there something I am doing to make this happen?

Ron,
Yes, and it is easily fixed if your situation is like many others.
The codes show up if you access the forum accidentally or on purpose using HTTPS rather than HTTP. Try accessing with http://www.sawmillcreek.org or simply www.sawmillcreek.org instead of https://www.sawmillcreek.org
Once you remove the https you I THINK should even be able to go back and fix your wonky posts by simply editing them. I haven't tried this but I do know the odd codes are removed with I used "Reply with Quote."
If you are like others, you may not have actually typed in the HTTPS so how did it get there? I noticed once that when I used the SMC Search command the google search inserted the HTTPS for me when I clicked on a search result and returned to the forum. Darn you google. I understand when the new forum software is put into place all this will be moot.
Another thing that has helped with other issues is switching to the Standard editor instead of the enhanced editor: Settings/general settings,Standard editor/save changes. (The standard editor won't even work under HTTPS, or at least it wouldn't when I tried it.)
