    Question on Brite-Tone Instrument Finish

    Hi all,
I have found a finish called "Brite-Tone Instrument" at a site in canada named"wood essense". I wrote to this site and asked for what made this product and I got no answer from the owner. I don't know if it is lacquer or poly.

Has anyone use this one or similar product? and where else to buy it?
    Thanks
    Kirk

  2. Hey, Kirk,

The guy (his name is Jeff) who owns Wood Essence is terrific to work with and because he's located near Saskatoon, SK, shipping should be quite reasonable. I have been purchasing my waterborne finishes exclusively from him for the past 10 years and have never been let down by him. His is a one-person business and I understand he has just returned from a well-deserved vacation... so he's probably still busily responding to the many emails and orders that came in during his absence.

Jeff also carries Target Coatings products, some of which I'm sure others here will chime in with their experiences in using them on musical instruments. I'm not a luthier, so don't feel competent in responding directly to your request for info.
