    Laser Controller Upgrade ?

    All,

I would like to upgrade my Leetro 6565 DSP with a newer controller. I would like to have WIFI support. I would like to know if anyone has done it and how hard is it? Also, which controller is the best? I've seen the following controllers for sale:

    • Ruida RDC6442G/S, RDC63344, LightObject R5-DSP
    • Smoothieboard (including Cohesion3D Mini and Remix)
    • GRBL and GRBL-LPC (Including Gerbil, X-Controller, and others)

    Any help would be appreciated.

    Thanks,

    Rich

Stick with a DSP controller designed for laser engraving. You will need to transfer settings over to the new controller, simple way just do screen shots and Save using Paint or similar to edit as needed. I have LightObject machine and I find the controller and software easy to use.

I have a ruida rdc6442S model. As far as I can find, there is no upgraded firmware that offers use of their android./apple software to convert the device to remote. G MODEL does. Don't have wifi adapter and haven't seen it being sold anywhere. Supposedly exists.

I heard that the LightObject R5-DSP is a version of the Ruida and it supports andriod controls. I have not seen this operate in real lift.
