I found a lot of stuff on cherry wood when searching for Robert Cherry but no blog. I even found an obituary for a Robert Cherry in Pennsylvania but since he just posted yesterday I'm pretty sure that isn't the right guy.

    Thnaks.
Rumors of my demise have been greatly exaggerated! I’ll PM the link to you.

I just started the back slats, which are probably the hardest part of the build. I finished up the poplar prototype of the center slat last weekend. Once I get past these parts the rest of the build is relatively easy.

Extraordinary! Wonderful table. I'm working thru several Limbert pieces, and have an eye toward a Greene and Greene coffee table. You have set a high bar Robert. Nicely done.

I'm a huge fan of Stickley/G&G/Arts and Crafts but just now starting to dig deeper into Greene and Greene. My wife not so much a fan but she does stained glass so I am hoping to include her work in some of my projects.

Ken: check this out - Greene & Greene: Design Elements for the Workshop.
I thumbed through it at my local WoodCraft store. Its now on my wish list.
    Marshall,

Thanks! As a matter of fact, my wife bought that book for me as a Christmas gift. It's now in my collection.

Also get Darrel Peart's other book: In the Greene and Green Style. Subtitle: Projects and Details for the Woodworker. Darrel lives in the Seattle are. I took a week long class with him at the Port Townsend School of Woodworking and Preservation Crafts. Excellent teacher and real nice guy. I've been to his shop. Very impressive and he is a master at jig making.

Thanks Ken. It seems that the judges for the Oneida American Craftsman Showcase liked it as well, I made the top 25 list!

The wife was thrilled, and I got a cool t-shirt and router dust attachment!

    Robert,
I am a hyper critical observer of woodworking projects and a huge G&G fan. I looked at all the other honored entrees and my in my honest opinion yours is THE BEST! BLUE RIBBON!! Don't settle for being just proud, that table is arrogant worthy.

Popular Woodworking is running a contest, so I decided to enter this table in that contest to see what happens. There is some very nice work posted in the tables section:

I took the opportunity to take some better photos as well:
