    Threading jig

Does anyone have a Jet 12/20 vs lathe and use the threading jig offered by Chefwarekits. Need some opinions on its operation.

I don't have a Jet but do have an older model of this threading jig and it works just fine but it appears the newer model is much better than the one I have!

I think this equates nicely to wood turning as well . . . . .

  3. I have the newer version of the Chefware kits threading jig, and have used it on my large lathe. I have a Delta midi as well, but have not used it on that lathe yet as it requires a shorter post. The original had some play in the jig, but the newer version has bushings that eliminate that play and it does a good job. I purposely purchased both 16tpi and 10 tpi thread so I could do either. I like the larger 10 tpi threads better in most instances, and think they are much more attractive, but you may differ in your approach to things. I would recommend this jig.
