26 gal air compressor for finishes

Any body here use a 20 or 30 gal air compressor for spraying finishes? I am looking for a new one and don't want to wait for shipping of a 60 gal Quincy from northern. Any advice would be appreciated. I spray lacquer on cabinets and furniture pieces mostly. Thanks again.

It's not the size of the tank that matters, it's the cfm the compressor can put out. How many cfm does your gun need is the real question. As long as the compressor puts out more than that you are ok.

60 gal it is. Devilbiss Finish Line requires 13 cfm. Thanks John.

Yeah, you need a big one to run that. Good decision.
