    Threading jig

Does anyone have information on the Hope Threading Jig. And does anyone have any experience using this jig. Love to hear your thoughts.
thank you very much for your opinions.

You might want to consider making a threading jig yourself. Dick Mahaney here at SMC showed one several years ago, and with his permission I copied it. Not too expensive to build and it does a decent job. Do a search here and see if it's of interest.

I also made my own version. I used a block of HDPE for the basis of it, because it was the easiest to drill and tap for the thread I wanted. For cross slide adjustment, I used a 4 way camera macro mount that I got off of Amazon. If you go this route, I would recommend Google "wood lathe threading jig" and look at images for ideas.

Don, check out Mike Waldt on You-Tube, he has videos on most of the hope systems.

There is no better threading jig than the Baxter Thread Master sold by Best Wood Tools period. There will be a review of it in Octobers issue of More Woodturning Magazine I believe.
