Our garage is normally about halfway between the inside and outside temperature, which I find to be very nice. Uninsulated I expect it would be pretty much the outside temperature. YMMV

Insulation is the best bang for the buck that you can spend while building, and yet it is where everyone tries to cut cost.
If you have to heat or cool, the attic is also the most important place to start.

If you live north of the arctic circle I would insulate it regardless of your intended use. I am not sure of the climate there but I would do the same if it is in Antartica.

Insulaton is always a good choice. Keeps you cool/warm and with less cool/warm cycles, helps with condensation.
