    Mesquite Bowl

Finally got to turn some of this great wood thanks to Kirk (KC) Constable who sent me some drops from a recent table he built. This one is about 3-1/2" dia and about 1-1/2" tall. Nothing special but the grain and color of this wood is great. Going to get some more and do some segmented with it.

I love mesquite. And I love the looks of that bowl. Very sleek, stylish and golden colored. Most excellent, Keith!

I have done so much with so little for so long I am now qualified to do anything with nothing......

P.S. If you are interested in plans for any project that I post, just put some money in an envelope and mail it to me and I will keep it.

I also like mesquite, and you did a great job with it on this bowl.

Really nice, especially considering the small size. I'd overlooked that earlier. I've turned Mesquite once and need to find some more!

Can't wait for the segmented piece Keith...you're a master! Ernie Nyvall sent me a big chunk of mesquite....I've just been waiting for the right inspiration. It is beautiful wood and the smell is great!!

  8. Very nice, Keith! Love the grain and color in that wood. For me, the smaller bowls are AT LEAST as hard as the bigger ones to finish - sometimes harder. Looks like you didn't have any trouble with your's.

    Thanks for the picture!
