    some recent projects

Its been a while since I finished much, but I got a few projects finished in parallel and finally delivered this last week:

A jewelry box for an anniversary gift. This was a 'follow up' item from someone I made a table for. Anyone who does larger projects with me I always try to do a little extra for. In this case, the walnut on the side was some leftover claro walnut I ordered to make someone a mantel, so I kept the leftover scrap, put a burl veneer on top of it, and made it at cost and it went to his wife as an anniversary gift.

A few twin beds for a pair of twins. Made of oak and a white pickling stain. I made two, but only had room to mock up one at a time in my garage...

A mesquite table with a 'tree style' base. This was on my list to do for a while, and i will probably play around with a few more versions in the future. This was a simple profile cut out of a base, but I want to do a similar one with more carving and texturing on it it. I have some cherry for a desk I will make and try to do a similar base with some more detail in it.

A koa humidor/watch/jewelry/whatever box in progress.

I particularly like the table and the tree legs are great.

    Love your work.
Rustic? Well, no. That was not my intention!

    Beautiful work!
Your timing is great too... I've just been commissioned for a bed project for my teenage son. That design is pretty much spot on!
    I'll give proper credit!
