    Gluing cedar

I'm making a 4' x 5' exterior sign board for mounting a few commercial tenants individual sign boards on. The sign board is a sheet of 3/4" MDO epoxied (West system) to a 1/2" sheet of MDO. That's all done. Next step is to edge the sign board with 2" strips of Western Red Cedar using Dominos and epoxy. My question is, does the cedar need to be wiped down with Acetone like we would do with other oily woods in order for a good epoxy bond. Thanks for the help.

No, I don't consider that wood oily and have not seen any problems gluing it.

No ... WRC glues nicely with epoxy no treatment necessary. Don't over clamp.
