    Hastelloy Metal

Has anyone ever marked "hastelloy"? It's some type of "superalloy" metal used in the aerospace industry. Just wondering if it can be marked with a CO2 (with or without cermark) or if I need a fiber. Thanks!

You can probably mark it with cermark. It's not a particular space age super alloy. It's been around for a long, long time. It's just a tough material. machines like stainless, but a little slower.

Part of the Stellite family and is used in the nuclear field in highly corrosive environments such as fuel re-processing where boiling nitric acid is part of the mechanism.

Nice to work with on a powerful laser...absolute nightmare to machine especially C-276
    You did what !
