    Thanks for pointing this out Mike! I don't have time to follow much beyond the Engravers forum and maybe the CNC forum now and then. Really appreciate the heads up!!!

    900x600 80watt EFR Tube laser from Liaocheng Ray Fine Tech LTD. Also a 900x600 2.5kw spindle CNC from Ray Fine. And my main tool, a well used and loved Jet 1642 Woodlathe with an outboard toolrest that helps me work from 36 inch diameters down to reallllllly tiny stuff.

    Thanks Mike, Keith and David!! Its amazing how many applications lasers are useful for. Templating out of PET film, baltic birch plywood, and clear acrylic is not evident in the thread, besides the obvious laser work, but should be mentioned as well. Such a useful machine.

    That is very cool, some very nice work!
    I certainly have not built one myself, but I have been doing some mother of pearl engraving work for a Nashville custom guitar maker:

    Sweet pearl work! Did you laser the mortice then hand cut the pearl? or laser both?

    John, thank you!
    Yes, lasered the mortice and hand cut the pearl to fit. Also lasered the text into the pearl inlay, which was then colorfilled.
