About to order a 1390 from Ray Fine and the Shipping Agent can not tell me the duties without an "HS" number? I know there is %5 GST. I am trying to avoid surprises and would like to know my total cost before I place the order.

Hi Daniel, I just received my laser machine from RayFine a few days ago, in The Netherlands. I think that the HS code is the same worldwide so for your laser machine it will be 8456119000.
And remember that you have to pay GST also on shipping costs, insurance etc.
I had to pay 4.5% custom duties in The Netherlands, which is not that bad. I also had to pay GST (or VAT as we call it here) of 21%, but because I run a business I will be refunded for that for 100%.

Dan, I have been doing some research on this myself as I am also ordering a laser from Ray Fine soon. See the attached screen shot for the number.
