I apologize for the quality of this cell phone picture and the fact that I took it before finishing the bowl. I did this last fall for a donation to our church's basket sale. It is mahogany and Baltic birch plywood. It is my first attempt at a segmented bowl. Might be the last time I use edge grain plywood in a checkerboard pattern for the bottom of a bowl. My previous post reminded me of this attempt to make a bowl look like a basket. The ring in the middle of the smaller bowl in that photo was excess from one of the smaller rings of this basket/bowl. It brought $100 for the sale. Not a much of an hourly rate for my time, but I enjoyed the process.
