Nano filer to build air cleaner manufacturers specification information

I live in the UK and I am building an air cleaner based on the Bill Pentz design

    http://billpentz.com/woodworking/cyc...ir_cleaner.cfm

The link below is for the filter I am using

    http://www.multifilter.ru/pdf/donald...n%20004249.pdf

I thought the information in the link may be interesting/useful

I found the filter on e bay and paid £25 about $30

    regards Brian

Sounds like a good score for a nanofilter - what's the filter area/micron rating? The link you gave was not specific to a filter size etc

Thanks, hard to tell how this media compares to the Nano material Wynn Environmental uses in theirs (a filter from them in a similar size is more expensive) as the test standards may be different, but it does appear to be very good value for that size filter

Hi Andy thank you for your post

I think at the end of the day it is best to be pragmatic

I believe that for a total spend of $30 cost of cartridge

( I was given a Venta axia 315 sdx fan free)

I have a good air cleaner

    best regards Brian

40% lower emissions than what? Are they comparing to a cheap home return air filter or a medical grade HEPA filter or something else? I don't like claims from manufacturers that sound impressive but don't mean anything. The only comment that is useful to me is the one about 99.999% effectiveness at 0.5 microns. That is impressive enough by itself.
