Thread: King size platform bed

    King size platform bed

I finally finished my king size platform bed! While it is inspired by the Wood Whisperer's platform bed, my version uses dominos and Zipbolt railing connectors (http://www.leevalley.com/us/wood/pag...50&cat=3,71685)
If I had any doubt that my DF500 is enough for my needs, this project cleared any doubt.

Sapele wood, Zebrawood veneer, Osmo Polyx clear matte finish (love it!)
Not shown in the pictures: the two 3/4" plywood panels that make the platform (below the mattress, flush with the sides.)

    Next project: night stands :-)
Apologies in advance for the quality of the pictures.

I am happy to share my Sketchup file if anybody is interested. File too big to be attached to this forum.

    Very nice work.

I've been wondering about the zip bolts for beds - they seem like a nice choice. Glad to hear they work well.
