I had not had my Trotec more than a few months when the items I was engraving produced a fairly consistent squiggly text which was, in fact, the customer's logo. I couldn't solve it to save me so I called tech support, sent my files and a picture of what was happening. they insisted that the item was moving during engraving. I staunchly refuted that notion. A Trotec techie from Austria happened to be there and he assured me that the only solution could be that the item was moving during the engraving. To appease him I put some rubberized shelf liner in the machine and the item on it and engraved away. Naturally it came out perfect. To this day I still use that liner whenever I have something I want to stay in place.
