First bowl on my new lathe

Well gotta say i am pretty happy with my first bowl in about 5 years of no turning, this is an elm bowl that i had previously roughed out on my old Vega lathe when i had it now in completion on the new Delta. I just threw on some butcher block finish on it.

Well now i guess i will be turning some pens for Christmas soon as my shipment arrives

Great looking bowl and it looks as you didn't forget anything in those 5 years.

Beautiful form on that, which really showcases the natural beauty of the wood! It's hard to believe that's your first bowl in 5 years! Elm has a really nice color to it.

What is the diameter, height, and wall thickness?

Bowl is 8 " wide by 4" tall, I kept it relatively thick, probably about 3/16 to 1/4 throughout

Nice Bowl Ron. Looks like you haven`t lost your touch.
I may not have it all together, but together we have it all.
