    Negative Rake Scraper

    I have bought some Thompson scrapers. I really like them. I have seen a lot about negative rake scrapers, but I am reluctant to grind these as the work so well without the negative rake. I don't have any negative rake scrapers (except what you call skews ). Is there an advantage to negative rake? I just don't want to mess them up.

    edit: what angles are best for negative rake scrapers?

    Thanks Reed. Not sure how I missed that. I guess I will try and grind one of my scrapers as negative rak and see what happens.
