    Bee hive logs

    Would you waste your time on a log you knew once had bees in it? This is a post oak, about 12.5' long and probably 12" on the small end. There is not just one bee hole, but maybe 20 or more along about a 5' length.

    I thought about cutting it just to see what I could see.

    Absolutely! Open that puppy and let's take a look. I know that some interesting wood can come from logs that are infested with carpenter ants but I don't know about bees. It's worth the time to find out, though.
