    UV activated plastic glue

has anyone used any of the UV activated plastic glues to seal bowl blank cracks? How did it turn out?

Frankly my convoluted mind never thought about this. I would mix it with coffee grounds or some other medium.

That being said I have used this type of product for a couple of other things.

1 - A finish for some of pens and reel seats I make. I've quit using CA for the most part as a final finish. Just have one rod returned where someone has dropped it and it lands on the wood insert and spider cracks appear on the CA finish. And then think how they are always putting the reel seat in the water to change flies or whatever. You suddenly end up with a wood spacer that is swollen because the cracks in the CA finish allows water to seep in.

2 - If I'm in a big rush I will use this on the threads that I wrap the guides on my fly rods with.
