Purple Heart & Maple Platter with Brass Inlay

I finished off this 16" diameter cemented platter made from purple heart and figured maple. I adapted the braided heart design ftp a Celtic Knot pattern I found in my library of woodworking books.

That's beautiful Doug. What an interesting contrast of the segmented maple and the flowing inlay. I would love to hear more about the inlay process.

  3. Doug, that is a truly nice piece! Very artistic and the brass inlay is well done.

Looks very nice. Is the inlay hand cut? Looks to be just a hint of variation.

Nice design and material contrast. That maple choice and arrangement is almost pearl like.

    Stunningly Superb Doug! Nice work.
I may not have it all together, but together we have it all.
