Well the rest of the parts came today. including these beauties back from Western Roller.

    Now to put them in.

Now we will put the base together. The table was locked up when I bought it because the center sprockets and chain were gone and it was putting the table in a bind.

The table still does not move as smooth as I like so I will have to work on it some more tomorrow.

It bothered me that the bed was not smooth so I took another stab at it after dinner. I put the lid on it and tightened everything down. I made a couple of blocks to align the head with the table. One side was about 1/16" lower than the other. After a little fine tuning I think I got it pretty close. A little lube and several passes up and down the lead screws and I think it is a smooth as it is going to get.

I liked the idea of the quick disconnect but the supplied plug only fits a computer supply and I didn't think the cord I had was big enough. I rewired it.

I made a mounting plate for the motor.

Motor is in and IT'S ALIVE!!!!!!!

Put the chip deflector in before I button things up.

    Drum roll please.................................

Tomorrow I will build the sled for the molding.

    Looks GREAT!
Never would guess the base is made form wood.

Just thought I would end this thread with the pictures of the sled and knife. I'll throw in a video to show it works. Let me know if you can't view the video.

If the knives are small enough then you can just remove the center gib and leave the blades in. I bought a 3 1/2" crown profile so out comes the knives.

The knives are available in a thicker single knife or 3 thinner knives. I decided to try the single knife with balancers.

Put the gibs, knife and balancers in.

    Make a sled.
