Foam

I was wondering if anyone is aware of the least odor-producing foam to use as backing for objects..Like 1/4"
or so.

Hi Steve;
Not sure what you are doing with it but I use a lot of EVA foam-comes in various colors and thicknesses-inexpensive and search Wandy-Foam on Ebay.
Cuts easily and no odor/fumes that I can detect. (Of course, smoking a pipe for 30 years doesn't help!)
