Knockdown Furniture

I'm working on some knockdown furniture design's for an upcoming project. I need a way for a table top to be easily removable, the top will be sitting a normal table apron. I thought about a twist in cleat system but wanted some input and ideas. Thanks

Four vertical dowels, shelf pins, table pins or pin and socket connectors???

You might try something called sash locks. A half dozen on the bottom would hold on the top and they tighten up the harder you turn them. Here is some at Home Depot
