    Post delta 1642?

    Delta 1642 lathe, any good word about this lathe?
    Was wondering how it compares with jet 1642?

    I have the Delta 755X, 2 hp. It's an excellent lathe, but here is a Caveat: Delta has been sold several times since making this lathe. Support and some Parts may not be available from them anymore. Parts are available from other on line sources though, such as ereplacement parts.

    I know a pro woodworker/turner who has one and seems to like it quite a bit. He produces some beautiful work.
