    Completed dresser for wife

    IMG_2236.jpgIMG_2237.jpgMy version of Darrell Peart's Fremont Dresser. Genuine mahogany with ebony splines and plugs. Sealed with three coats of amber shellac and finished with three coats of Waterlox original formula. I think this is my best piece to date!

    That came out fantastic. Can you post a picture of that G&G mirror I see trying to photobomb the dresser shoot?

    Looks nice Bob! I think you did an awesome job on this piece!

    Seems the breadboard ends are a bit thicker than the top. Did you mimic the original on that detail? I've done a couple pieces of furniture where the top of the piece had parts that were not coplanar, and I've come to not be so fond of it.

    G&G always turns my crank. That is a really well done chest, very nice!!

    Yes, the breadboards ends were thicker on the original. It is my understanding that they did this knowing that it would be very difficult to match thicknesses of two pieces through seasonal changes in humidity, etc.

    Great job! I am also a G&G fan and have built several pieces using cherry.

    That's a really awesome looking piece you made there. anyway we could see some close up pics. of the top and front & with the drawers open?
