I was hoping it was 1/2". There are other chisel and bit sets with a larger diameter-for instance 3/4". If you can get it machined correctly to work with larger chisels, that would take care of the problem without having to fiddle with setup every time you put another chisel and bit in it.

Tom, I see what you are saying. The issue is with the fit of the bushing that holds the chisel, not the chisel holder itself (that is a part I could easily replace). Thanks!

Yeah, I was thinking of redrilling the hole in the machine to hold a larger shafted chisel.

Well, I emailed Multico. In order to get the best chance of a response, I ensured them I was not seeking any recompense, just advice. We'll see what happens. Appreciate the advice from all.
