CAM done using MakerCAM and F-Engrave.

Parts list: 6061-T6 aluminum, brass Chicago screw, #8-32 screw, #6-32 screw (may need a divot filed into it), and a knurled #6-32 thumb screw

Cut on a ShapeOko 3 using a Makita RT-0701 and 1/8" bits, feed 215mm/min., plunge rate 27mm/min., 0.2mm cutting depth.

Looks great. How thick is the alum and how did you hold it?
How do you like the Shapeoko 3?

    Thanks!

    1/8" thick aluminum.

Made a fixture to hold it in place — actually 5 — only the first and last worked out for various reasons. I’ll probably make a new fixture out of a block of aluminum.

Really enjoying the ShapeOko 3 — huge improvement over my SO1 and 2. Just waiting on the expansion kits — hoping for a kit which will afford a 5' wide cutting area (and still be <16" deep so as to remain portable).
