How long to upload a video to Youtube

Having never used Youtube, I was wondering how long does it take to upload a video onto Youtube ?

It depends on the upload speed of your internet service and how big the file is. I push up 1.5-2 gigabyte videos in about 3-4 hours with my upload speed. But it depends heavily on how fast your internet is and how big the file is.

Just ran the DSL speed test . Upload speed is 0.78Mbps .

Yeah - you probably have 768k - so it's gonna take about 5x (or more) longer than it would me.

It depends on the size of the video, I upload several a week, one that's about an hour and a half and I upload in about 5 minutes, but then again, I have a 100mb upload. It takes YouTube much longer to process the videos than it does for me to upload.

Geez, and I was happy yesterday when Comcast upgraded me from 12/60 to 12/85.(per speed tests)

That's why you go fiber if you can. Verizon's Quantum FiOS starts at 75/75 and goes up from there.
