    Here's my Panasonic cordless dilema

I was walking along the street and found an older Panasonic cordless drill in front of a friends house. I spoke to him, it isn't his and he hasn't had anybody working on his house who might have dropped it. I checked lost and found and there is nothing there.
So I'm thinking I'll order a charger for it and keep it. The charger is about $100.
    What do you think?
    Thanks
    Dennis

Is it lithium? I would spend money on anything that wasn't. Just my 2 cents.

And check for reconditioned chargers or used ones on CL before shelling out for new. For $100 you can buy a nice brand new tool.

Battery is probably pretty close to dead. I'd put the drill back where you found it.

Unless you like Panasonic drills for some reason I would just sell it on CL. You can get Ryobi drills at Home Depot with two new lithium batteries and charger for $80 to $100. They work fine for most homeowner user and they are light. Some contractors even buy them because they are cheap and if lose one they aren't out a lot of money.
