    Check this out.

Spent some time working the duplex of wood veneer to paper. Got the settings just about perfect to take away enough veneer that the duplexed sheet of paper shows through.

The trick was to do a normal engrave, then clean it up with a low power engrave to burn away any of the remaining adhesive.

The final effect was pretty awesome.

That first link makes it look like opalescent paper was inserted into the cut. The only way I could tell that wasn't the case is watching the laser burn it in real time.

I have done that with metals so the brass shines through... never though about papers. The best way to learn about lasers it to push the limits!
You are doing just that! I look forward to seeing other ideas you come up with. Thanks for sharing!

    Thanks guys!

I need to adjust the artwork to give a bit more room to the laser, but overall it's a pretty nice look when finished.

Now I need to figure out how to mass produce. LOL
