Got to tell ya, I love the Incra 1000se. I was working this weekend, to put some 3" banding around a large ply panel with a bubinga veneer on top. I got the top within less than 1mm out of square, which in most cases good enough for me.

Well I changed my mind when I started cutting the miters for the band, it showed it's head. First cut checked with the precision square was dead on 45. Cut the second side, and bang, the dreaded gap at the end. Lucily I always cut extra and leave em long. I double checked and no slop in the guage, again checked and it was 45. Dawned on me the error was showing itself.

To close up the gap, I disengaged the preset 45 lock and used the 1/10 degree vernier gauge to dial that miter in dead on. Repeated the steps for cut 3 and 4 and she's looking great.

No way I could have done that with the old stock miter gauge. cudo's to incra. Love their stuff!
