Quality Cork Coasters

Greetings my mentors,

I have been looking for some good quality cork coasters. The problem I am having right now is the easy and available coasters from Hobby Lobby or similar stores are very flimsy and may be great for mild use but the customers are wanting a more durable feel.

So my questions:
1. What is a decently durable thickness? 5mm?
2. Who are good cork coaster suppliers?

Do the big box Home Improvement stores near you stock cork in sheets or tile size? You have a laser, cut some out.
