    Pre-finished ply scratches

How can minor scratches in pre-finished plywood be repaired?

I was thinking of a coat of paste wax, but have not tried it yet.

Assuming these are going to be on the inside of cabinetry, you'll never see them once the cabinets are in use.

    Matt,

Thanks, I was thinking that might be the case. They only show up when the light is right. I have never use pre-finished before.

It is the inside of cabinets.

    Thanks again.

I use this stuff if the scratches are mostly superficial - http://www.highlandwoodworking.com/b...inish16oz.aspx
There are other sources of course (and more refined uses than scratch repair for this pad lacquer). It is a very useful touch up product. Simply pour a bit onto a clean cloth and wipe across the scratches. DON'T RUB this will dissolve the finish. Just do a wipe over.

    Sam,

Thanks. Its good to know there is a product if the scratches do show on the final product.
