I was just curious because her knees are knockin'... And it will only get worse. Kids tend to grow when you feed them. LOL

Mike, the shop is looking great! I like the bins, however I do have a question, what are you going to put in them? I am guessing not stuff used that often due to them being relatively high, but you seem to have the right equipment to access them.
Cool thing about the slat wall is it allows moving up as kids grow and down if you shrink.
Any thing that gets seldom used but is too good to just get rid of is a candidate. These spots are just where I put them for now. Also slide the covers in and they are shelves.
Mike, you probably stated it and I overlooked it but how did you secure the horizontal 2 X 6's that run between the post's? I am getting ready to do something similar however I won't be doing the slat wall. I want to insulate with fiberglass and use the same type tin to line the sides and possibly the roof. I started a new thread and forgot about your shop build. Thanks in advance.
2.5" blue kote Kreg pocket holes top and bottom along width into the wall girts and into each post on ends. Also drilled 2" holes in each end for wiring. Used a kreg foreman not a k4/5 jig.
Thanks Mike. I will look into this.
Rest of west wall done this week. Also above garage door. Move the flag!
Just did a Two Day Mile!
In the last two days I pushed 5284 feet of plywood through my 10" table saw! Made 500 wall slats, 100 wall cleats, and 121 full size solid rear wall panels. The entire total waste , from the 221 32.25"x48"x3/4" sheets of plywod, amounted to 921 1/4" or less strips or bevels and two ~40 gallon bags of saw dust. Pu in the work! #Mikiespace
My birthday work today. Six panels installed on North wall. Made them while watching Bladerunner 2049. Awesome!
Built 18 and installed 14 panels this past weekend
Glad its my shop I am responsible for - I only have to make me happy.
Have you calculated how many screws/nails are going into those panels? LOL At truckload, I'd bet!!!

About 13,800 kreg screws and 13,250 23 ga pins just in the wall panels. Does not include the 2x6 bracing and bookcasing which is another 3800 screws. Ill be about 17,600 screws.
Of the 17,600 screws, 8216 are 2.5" blue kote kreg screws that attach bracing bookcasing and panels to walls, and 8864 of the screws are 1.25" coarse kreg screws that secure the slats to the panels, and 520 are #12 screws used to vonnect outlet box brackets to the wall panels.
Ill compute weight a different night.
