I too have used the original, and went through 2, 5 gal. pails from UCCoatings. I later tried the WS2, and was completely dissatisfied. In fact I left 3 gallons of AS2 in the pail and ordered the original. My success with the AS2 was very poor, whereas the AS Original preserved almost all of the blanks I sealed.

I have never tried the original, but the AS2 just doesn't seem to work at all. Bill Tanner an I have used this several times, and the blanks seem to crack as if nothing was applied. We went to Goodwill and bought a 11"x9" electric skillet and now use paraffin wax. If the blank is too large to dip we just use an old paint brush for coating. Much better than the AS.

Anchorseal is cheaper because it ia almost useless. Stick to AS #1 or Artisan for superior results.

I'll pile on. AS2 just doesn't cut it. I've had far more checking with it than the original, even when putting on multiple coats. I won't use it again.
