    Fireplace surround

    I figured i would post a picture since i got some tips on design and installation here. Thanks for all your help!

    This is primarily quartersawn white oak, "fumed" by wiping on 10% ammonia, finished with general finishes endurovar. I'll be covering a beam in our living room with wood from the same tree, as well as eventually making some other arts and crafts furniture for the room.
