Watco Wipe-on Poly and Zinsser SealCoat

I am in the process of finishing a dresser. I have already put on two coats of Zinsser SealCoat which is a dewaxed shellac. Getting ready to put on WATCO Wipe-On Poly. The WATCO can has this message:

"PREPARATION: For best adhesion, surfaces must be clean, dry and free of wax, grease, oil, shellac, lacquer, mildew, stearates and polishes."

Anyone ever use this combination to finish your project and is it really a problem?

No problem. I'm sure the warning is there because most shellac is the waxed variety. I've used Minwax Wipe-on Poly over dewaxed shellac with no problems.

Hi: doug is right the only thing that i would do is sand the project over with 220 grit and dust it down good first.
