Back in olden days when the world was still flat, my dad made me a rudimentary setup like this. I was 10, it was 1952, and Dad based the panel on the "Space Patrol" TV show. It had doorbells, buzzers, red lights, old radio speakers and knobs, and some home made plexiglass dials. It was 4X8, and had dual controls for me and my brother. I still have a coffee can full of door buzzers he left me.
