    Pretty neat idea, but am I the only one that thinks that looks more like corn on the cob than a tree?

    I wonder what kind of wood? Butternut? It needs clean grain, I think, to take up those shavings so neatly. Beech? Maybe spruce?
    Wood: a fickle medium....
