    A day with Bill G

A buddy of mine and I spent Wednesday with Bill Grumbine at his Wonderful Wood workshop. What a great guy. He is so very knowledgeable about turning and wood working, that even I couldn't help but pick up some valuable information.

Turning these huge blanks on his Poolewood was the best thing I've done with my clothes on for a looooong time I learned a lot but don't know if I'm a better turner or not. Although, with what I left with and lots of practice, I should be able to hold my own.

If you haven't had the opportunity to meet with Bill, I highly recommend it. Drop him a line, take a class, and get his video. Not necessarily in that order, but you get what I'm talking about.

Thanks again Bill, I hope to do it again sometime.

The destination isn't nearly as exciting as the path used to get there.

    Hi Blake

I am glad to see you guys made it home okay after that long day at the lathe. I am also glad that you had a good time, as did I, especially when we discovered our mutual acquaintances! If you run into any of them, please pass along my greetings.

    Bill
